I have operated Takada Gallery in San Francisco since 1987 to present, specializing in contemporary art. I represent American and Japanese artists who are internationally known and major museums have these artistsí works as permanent collections. I have had numerous solo and group exhibitions by established and emerging artists.
I was a master printer at Crown Point Press in Oakland, California since 1978 to 1987. I have worked as a printer for many world reading artists, John Cage, Richard Diebenkorn, Sol Lewitt, Wayne Thiebaud to name a few.
I also have coordinated woodcut project done in Kyoto, Japan for Crown Point Press for ten years. "Most important person for this project is Takada" said Charles Kuralt on CBS Sunday Morning program, "Good Morning America" in 1986. Among artists are Helen Frankenthaler, Anish Kapoor, Robert Mangold, and eighteen other artists.
Gallery is operated by appointment only.
